My air fryer basket handle snapped off last Tuesday

I was pulling out a batch of frozen fries and the plastic handle just broke clean off. It happened right when I lifted it, so the basket dropped back in and hot fries went everywhere. I had to use tongs to get the basket out, which was a real pain. Has anyone else had this happen and found a good way to fix it?

Oh man, the part about the hot fries going everywhere... I feel that. I once tried to fix a broken handle with super glue and it just made a shiny, useless lump of plastic. The next time I used it, the heat made the glue let go and I got a repeat performance of the great fry avalanche. Maybe check if the company sells replacement baskets?

We waste so much time on these half-solutions instead of just getting the right part or a whole new thing. It's a weird kind of stubbornness, trying to save ten bucks and ending up with a bigger mess.
