I used to be all about frozen fries in the air fryer, but fresh potatoes changed my mind
Honestly, I was Team Frozen Fries for like two years because they were so easy. Then my buddy Jason brought over some hand cut russets he tossed in oil and salt, and they came out way crispier after 15 minutes at 400. I tried it myself last week with a single potato, and the texture was just better. Has anyone else made the switch, or am I late to this party?

You ever watch a frozen fry deflate in the air fryer while a fresh cut one stays crunchy? That's the real difference right there. I started cutting my own potatoes a few months ago and haven't looked back. The secret is soaking the cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes to get the starch out, then drying them really good before oiling. Frozen fries are convenient but fresh just has that bite to them that you can't fake.
