Did my first air fryer pot roast and it actually worked

Tried a chuck roast in my Cosori at 375 for 25 minutes per pound and it came out tender enough to pull apart. Has anyone else attempted bigger cuts of meat in theirs?

Tried a whole chicken in mine once and it was a disaster... skin came out like leather but the inside was somehow still raw. Went back to the oven for that. But I did do a pork shoulder low and slow in a foil packet once, came out pretty good actually. The air fryer just doesn't hold enough heat for big cuts sometimes, you know?

Are you sure the issue isn't the size of your air fryer? I got a big one, like 5.8 quarts, and it handles a whole chicken way better than I expected. Tbh, I still have to flip it halfway through and check the temp a lot, but I haven't had that leather outside issue. Ngl, pork shoulder sounds like a brave move for an air fryer though, I'd worry about it drying out.

That thing about the air fryer not holding enough heat for bigger stuff is spot on, @the_jason. I did a stuffed pork loin in mine and the outside was like shoe leather while the middle was basically raw. Had to finish it in the regular oven anyway.
