Vent: The new AI traffic routing system in Columbus caused a 3-hour delivery delay
It kept sending trucks down a closed bridge for a full afternoon, so I had to ignore it and use the old paper map. Has anyone else had their local AI tools just fail on basic local knowledge?

A closed bridge for a full afternoon? That's a pretty big thing for the system to miss. You'd think a basic road closure would be the first thing it knows.

Timing is everything with updates like that. @lee_barnes70 is right, if the city doesn't send the info to the system it's basically flying blind. But that's still a massive failure on their end to not log a closed bridge right away. You can't expect a road network to reroute people if it doesn't even know a major road is gone. It's like having a map with a chunk ripped out and blaming the map for being wrong. Feels like the whole chain of communication just broke down.

Honestly, that's on the city for not updating the closure data fast enough. The AI can only work with what it's given.
