Tried Google Bard and ChatGPT for the same project planning task last week

I was mapping out a home renovation project timeline and decided to test both Google Bard and ChatGPT side by side. Bard gave me a vague list of steps but missed any real timeline or material order. ChatGPT laid out a full week by week schedule with specific days for ordering materials, demo work, and inspections. It even listed tools I would need for each phase. Bard just felt like it was guessing without any structure. The difference was night and day for organizing something practical. Has anyone else used multiple AI tools for something like scheduling or planning where one just clearly did better?

Yeah I had basically the same experience when I was planning out a small deck build last month. ChatGPT gave me a real timeline with buffer days for weather and a clear order of operations. Bard just threw out a list like "get materials then build it" with zero thought about what comes first. It didn't even mention permits or checking utility lines before digging. That kind of practical step by step stuff is where ChatGPT just seems to understand how real projects actually work. Bard felt like someone who read a blog post once and tried to summarize it from memory.
