The AI transcription tool I mocked for months just saved my meeting notes

For like 6 months I kept telling my team that AI note takers were just gimmicks, especially after a free trial mangled every word about spreadsheets. Then last Tuesday we had a 90 minute call with a vendor in Austin where I was the only one taking notes, and I missed half the action items because my hand cramped up. Out of desperation I hit record on the meeting app's built in assistant, not expecting much. It not only caught the exact budget numbers, 14,200 for the pilot, but it flagged the deadlines automatically and made a clean summary I could paste into our tracker. I still hate how it sounds when it reads back, but honestly the accuracy beat my own scribbles by a mile. Does anyone else find these things reliable only when you least expect them, or am I just late to the party?
