My AI art tool just created a nightmare version of my dog

I was sitting in my living room last night trying to generate a simple portrait of my golden retriever with this new AI image app. The prompt was just good boy golden retriever sitting on grass. Instead it gave me this twisted creature with three eyes and fur that looked like melting plastic. I laughed at first but then got annoyed because I spent 45 minutes tweaking settings and it kept making these gross mutant animals. Finally I tried adding negative prompts like no deformities no extra limbs and that seemed to calm it down a bit. Still got a dog with weirdly human teeth on the third try though. Has anyone else had an AI art app go completely off the rails like that on a simple prompt?

That human teeth thing is something I've seen before, it's like the AI gets dental records mixed up. First time it happened to me with a cat prompt I got a thing that looked like a hairless sphinx but with rows of human molars. Negative prompts help a bit but they don't fix the core problem, the model is just bad at understanding what "normal" means for animal anatomy. Your golden retriever probably had some weird lighting in its training data that confused it. Those apps are still garbage for anything that isn't a generic landscape or a fantasy dragon.
