My AI art generator made a raccoon look like a Victorian ghost last night
I was messing around with DALL-E in my living room around 3 AM after my night shift, trying to get a cute raccoon in a top hat. But instead it spat out this blurry, pale raccoon with glowing eyes floating in a dark hallway, like it was straight out of a haunted house. I tried tweaking the prompt three times, even adding 'friendly' and 'cartoon style', but it kept doubling down on the spooky vibe. Eventually I just gave up and saved it as a Halloween wallpaper, honestly it kind of grew on me. Has anyone else had an AI completely ignore your prompt and go rogue like that?

Oh dude, that is exactly the kind of thing that happens to me when I'm messing with Midjourney after midnight. I asked for a simple pirate ship on the ocean once and it gave me this weird, foggy boat with a skeleton captain, like it was stuck in a Tim Burton movie. I kept trying to punch in 'sunny' and 'bright colors' but it just kept making everything more haunted and gray. Yours sounds way cooler than my boring top hat raccoon would have been, honestly I'd frame that ghost raccoon.

Three AM prompting is probably the real issue here, the AI was feeding off your tired weird energy and turned a raccoon into a cryptid. I've tried making stuff at 4 AM and got a dog that looked part cactus, so low sleep definitely warps what the generator does with your words. Your spooky raccoon sounds way more memorable than another boring top hat animal anyway.
