I used to hate AI voice assistants until my dad got one

I always thought smart speakers were just for playing music or setting timers (which is fine, but not life changing). But last month my 78 year old dad in Cleveland got an Echo and now he uses it to set medication reminders and read the news out loud. It finally clicked for me when he said he feels less isolated during the day. Has anyone else seen older relatives really lean into this stuff?

Right? I got my grandparents setup with smart plugs and now they feel like tech wizards lol
