I thought AI art was just a gimmick until I saw it help a friend in Austin

Last month, my buddy was stuck on a logo design for his new food truck. He used an AI tool called Midjourney to make a bunch of quick concepts, which gave him a real direction to work from. Anyone else have a story where an AI tool actually solved a creative block?

The real win is when it helps you see past your own blind spots. My wife was trying to describe a mural idea to me, all these abstract colors. We fed a rough description into one of those image makers, and the output was totally wrong but in a useful way. It showed a color combo she hated, which instantly clarified what she DID want. Sometimes you need that bad suggestion to point you toward the good one.

That's exactly how it should work, like a turbocharged brainstorming partner. @the_ray is right about the bad suggestions being useful too. The trick is to feed it your absolute mess of an idea, the half-baked one you're almost embarrassed by. The AI doesn't judge, it just spits out a visual. Even if it's wrong, you're now looking at something concrete to fix, which is miles better than staring at a blank page. It gets you out of your own head.
