I finally ditched manual transcriptions for AI notes

For years I used to sit with a recorder and type out every meeting myself, took about 2 hours per session. Then last spring I tried an AI transcription tool that runs live on my laptop, and it catches names and numbers way better than I ever did. Now I just skim the summary and flag action items, saves me a full afternoon each week. Has anyone else switched over and felt weird trusting the machine at first?

You said it catches names and numbers better than you ever did, which honestly makes me wonder how much you were missing before. Did you ever go back and check one of the old tapes against the AI version to see what you dropped? That would either make you feel great or pretty bad about all those hours you burned. Also, how long did it take before you stopped double checking everything it flagged? I figure there has to be a breaking point where you just trust it and move on.
