I called AI note takers a gimmick until my last 3 client calls changed my mind
Six months ago I sat in on a demo for one of those AI meeting assistants and I flat out laughed. I work at a small insurance office in Columbus, Ohio, and I figured there was no way a bot could sort out our messy client calls about claims and renewals. Then in March my coworker Dana started using one on our Thursday intake calls, and I watched her pull up a summary in like 20 seconds that actually had the right numbers in it. I was waiting for it to mess up a policy number or mix up two clients, but it nailed both names and the dates. What got me was the follow-up email it drafted, which sounded almost exactly like how Dana writes. I ran it myself on 4 calls last month and only had to fix one line about a deductible. Has anyone else had one of these tools surprise them like that, or am I just late to the party?
