Dropped $200 on an AI resume tool last month and it was a total waste
I got laid off in March and panicked, so I paid $200 for a "premium" AI resume builder that promised to beat applicant tracking systems. It just rewrote my bullets with fancy words and added fake metrics that I could not back up in an interview, and I found out later the free version of ChatGPT does the same thing. Has anyone actually found an AI tool that helps with job apps, or is this whole space just selling hope to people who are already stressed?

fake metrics that I could not back up in an interview" made me laugh because same, I once let a tool tell me I "boosted sales 40%" and then sat there in the interview praying nobody asked for a number. Honestly the free chatbots do the same job, the paid ones just charge you for the panic. Save your money and treat yourself to something better than fancy bullet points.
