Chose Local Whisper over cloud API for my podcast transcripts
I run a small podcast in Denver and was paying $40 a month for cloud transcription that kept messing up technical terms. Switched to running Whisper locally on my gaming PC last month, it handles 2 hour episodes in about 15 minutes for free. Has anyone else made the jump to local AI models and seen a big cost drop like this?

Yeah that cloud pricing is brutal, glad you found something that actually works without the monthly bill.
