After messing with AI for voice clones, I'm worried about misuse.
I've been playing with AI that copies voices for my audio projects. It's really good, but I learned it can easily make fake sounds that seem real. What steps should we take to prevent problems with this AI?

Yeah it's wild how fast this got normal. My mom called me last week totally panicked because she got a voicemail that sounded exactly like my sister asking for money, turned out to be some scam call using a clone. @corad70 is right, there are no rules. We're in that weird phase where the tech outruns any common sense. It's going to take a few big scandals, like fake emergency calls to grandparents or forged CEO orders, before anyone in charge even starts to figure out what to do.

Agree completely, I cloned a friend's voice as a joke and it was unsettling how real it sounded. We definitely need some rules before this gets out of hand.

Whoa, cloning a friend's voice as a joke is where it gets really creepy for me. That's not some random voice, that's someone you know. The fact it's that easy and sounds that real is the scary part. We're playing with fire here because there are no real rules yet. Someone needs to figure this out before it's too late.
