The whole 'let the client manage their own project' thing doesn't work.

I gave a client access to our Trello board last month thinking it would cut down on emails. They moved stuff around and assigned tasks to my team without telling anyone. Took me 3 days to untangle the mess. How do you guys handle clients who want to be hands on but don't know your workflow?

I had the exact same thing happen with a client from a local coffee shop chain. They moved a task for "update website banner" into "urgent fixes" and then assigned it to my junior designer without telling me. It's like giving someone the keys to your house and they decide to rearrange the furniture. I've noticed this pattern everywhere, even with my neighbor who insisted on "helping" me organize my garage and ended up throwing away my good drill bits. People just can't resist messing with a system they don't understand.

Read this same argument in a comic strip once, @adamcoleman. People love breaking what's not theirs.
