Switched from hiring freelancers to an in house junior designer and it actually worked out
I was always team 'freelancers are cheaper' for our small agency. But after blowing $2,400 on a single landing page that took 3 revisions and 2 weeks, I decided to try hiring a fresh grad from a local college in Austin. She's been with us for 6 months now and her turnaround is way faster since she knows our brand inside out. Anyone else made a similar switch and regretted it or did it pay off?

Got my own version of that with a new guy, @felix488, and now he keeps asking me to fix his check engine light.

A buddy of mine tried the same thing with a junior designer right out of SCAD. Kid's been there over a year now and he says the biggest thing is she actually remembers how they like their coffee orders for client meetings. Has your junior asked to go fully remote yet or are they cool with the office life?
