Serious question, does anyone else track employee bench time in a shared spreadsheet?

I started logging every designer's idle hours in a Google Sheet last quarter and found out two of my best people were sitting for nearly 40 hours a month combined, which made me wonder if we're actually losing money on retainer clients we think are profitable.

Feel for you, tracking that stuff is a pain but it’s SO worth it. Knowing your real costs changes everything, even if it stings to see those idle hours. Good on you for actually looking at the numbers instead of guessing.
