Our project manager quit the day before a big launch, so the four of us split her work on a whiteboard
We were in the Chicago office on a Thursday when Dana gave notice, and the campaign for a local bank was due Monday. I grabbed a marker and we split her 14 open tasks in about twenty minutes, with two people taking the deck and the other two handling vendor calls. We shipped Sunday night at 11:40, and the bank signed on for another quarter. Has anyone else had to scramble like that, and did you end up changing how you hand off work after?
