I think buying that fancy project management software was a huge mistake

Honestly, I dropped nearly $800 a year on a subscription to a big name platform everyone raves about. I thought it would fix our team's communication and keep projects on track. Tbh, it just added more steps and my team spent more time updating the software than doing actual work. Has anyone else found a simpler way to handle project flow without all the bells and whistles?

What did your team try before the fancy software?

Spreadsheets and a whole lot of crossed fingers.

Funny enough, I used to be pretty skeptical about those kinds of tools. I figured if we just got better at spreadsheets and paid closer attention, we could get by without spending money on software. But then we hit a wall and I finally gave in. The way it organizes everything and shows you connections you'd never spot on your own really changed my mind, @mitchell.shane. It wasn't just about saving time, it was about not missing things that were right in front of us. Now I can't imagine going back.
