A recruiter in Chicago said my job posts read like a robot wrote them, and I realized she was right
Last month I posted the same old "dynamic self starter who thrives in a fast paced environment" for three openings at our 11 person shop and got 4 applicants total, all from one zip code. A recruiter I met at a lunch in Chicago straight up asked me who wrote it, and when I said me she said it read like a robot wrote it, which stung but she was not wrong. So now I write like I am texting a friend, do you all write your own job posts or hand them off, and has anyone tracked if the plain ones pull better people?
