Walked into a hardware store in Austin and saw how they run their fix-it desk, stole the idea for my agency
I was in Austin visiting my brother a few weeks ago and stopped by this old hardware store on South Congress to kill time. They had a little desk by the door where one guy just answers questions and points people to the right aisle, no checkout, no register, nothing to sell. I watched him handle maybe 20 people in 15 minutes and every single one walked out happy, and a bunch of them bought stuff anyway. I tried the same thing with my agency, one 15 minute call a day where anyone can ask me anything with zero pitch. Booked 4 new projects in 6 weeks just from those calls. The trick is you actually have to not sell, the second you pitch it stops working. Anyone else tried a no-pitch call like this and did it keep working after the first couple months?
