Vent: That one day last month where EVERYTHING went right actually scared me
I had a Tuesday where three big proposals closed back to back, two referral calls came in, and a problem client emailed saying they were taking their business elsewhere all in like 6 hours. It felt TOO perfect and I spent the next two nights waiting for the other shoe to drop, has anyone else had a day like that mess with their head?

My grandmother used to say the devil doesn't warn you when he's coming, so a day that good just makes you suspicious of the quiet. There's something almost unnatural about getting the win and the relief all at once without some kind of struggle. Maybe it triggers that old survival instinct that tells us good fortune is always borrowed and never earned. The real trick might be learning to sit still and enjoy it without inviting a catastrophe by worrying too much.

Oh, "good fortune is always borrowed and never earned" - that hit me hard. I had this one perfect week last spring where everything just clicked, and I spent half of it waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like I couldn't just enjoy it, I had to keep checking over my shoulder for whatever was about to go wrong. It's exhausting, isn't it? Trying to unlearn that feeling.
