Unpopular opinion: I think most agencies are wasting money on fancy office space.

We spent over $8k a month on a downtown Denver suite for two years, thinking it would impress clients. After moving to a smaller, cheaper spot, our client meetings actually got more focused and our profits went up. Are we the only ones who found that a big office just became a big, expensive distraction?

Actually, it depends on the kind of clients you want. Some bigger companies still expect a certain look when they visit. A nice space can make them feel like you're stable and successful, which matters in some deals. It's not always about showing off, sometimes it's about meeting expectations. The trick is knowing if your clients actually care about that stuff or not.

Honestly, the bigger issue is that clients don't care about your office anymore. They care about the work and the results. That fancy space just signals you're spending their money on rent, not on the team doing the actual project. Your story proves the shift already happened, and a lot of agencies are just slow to catch up.

Wait, you think clients don't notice where their money goes?
