TIL that offering a free, no-strings audit actually brought in more qualified leads than our paid discovery call package.

We switched from a $500 discovery fee to giving away a full 12-point audit for free, and our close rate on proposals jumped from 20% to 45% because clients already saw the exact value we could provide.

But is a free audit really that different from a free call? It sounds like the same work just with a fancy name. The jump in close rate is nice, but maybe they just got better at showing their value.

Well damn, I guess my whole strategy of charging people to let me spray their driveway was WAY off base. Don't tell my boss I'm giving away free pressure washes next week though.
