Talked to an old client about our pricing structure last week and it flipped my thinking
I had a client from 2019 call me up last Tuesday and he told me straight up that he hired another agency because they charged 3x what I did and he assumed they were better. That hit different because I've always thought being cheaper was a growth hack. I spent the weekend looking at my margins and realized I was leaving like $4k a month on the table just from undervaluing my retainer work. Anyone else have a moment where you realized your pricing was actually hurting your reputation instead of helping?

Cheap pricing tells people you're not confident in your work. Your old client proved that.

@Sandra146 nailed it. I actually read a study last year that said clients often use price as a shortcut for quality, especially when they can't easily judge the work itself. Your old client basically confirmed everything that article was saying.
