Subcontractor bailed 3 days before a big launch and I had to rebuild the whole plan on a Tuesday
Two weeks ago my main developer for a big web build in Portland just went dark, no call, no text. I found out from a mutual friend that he took a full time job and never bothered to tell me. I had 3 days until kickoff, so I pulled two all nighters and split the work between a freelancer I trust and myself. We launched on time but it cost me an extra $1,400 and I nearly lost the account. Now I keep a backup list of 4 people I can call, does anyone else do this or am I just paranoid now?
