My proposal software corrupted the file 2 hours before the pitch
Last Thursday I was about to present a $14k retainer package and the PDF turned into gibberish. I had to rebuild the whole deck from scratch using screenshots I had on my phone. Anyone else have presentation tools fail at the worst possible moment, and what do you use as a backup plan?

I read a post from a designer who lost a whole pitch when her slide tool crashed mid meeting and the file would not reopen. She started saving two copies in different formats, one PDF and one set of plain images, so at least something always works. Screenshots on your phone saved you, which is smart and simple. A lot of people now just export slides as PNGs and keep them in a folder on their desktop as a just in case. It is not fancy but it never dies on you.
