I hit $18k in monthly retainer revenue and felt nothing, that's the part that scares me
Two weeks ago I added up all my retainers and it came to $18,400 a month from 6 clients, which is way past the number I used to dream about when I was scrambling for $500 gigs. The weird part is I sat there at my kitchen table with the spreadsheet open and just felt tired. I thought crossing that line would feel like winning something. Now I'm wondering if the goal posts just move every time and you never actually arrive. For the folks running bigger agencies than mine, was there a number that finally felt like enough or did you just keep chasing the next one?
