I disagree that bigger retainers always mean better results after losing a client in Denver
I had this client paying us $8k a month for full service SEO. Then Google rolled out a core update last September and their traffic dropped 60%. The client blamed us even though we followed all the rules. So I decided to walk away from that retainer and focus on smaller clients who actually understand that SEO is a long game. Has anyone else had to fire a big spender because they had unrealistic expectations?

Bigger retainers just mean bigger headaches sometimes lol. Smaller clients who get it are way easier to work with and actually listen to your advice.

Read somewhere that small clients often care more about the results than the price tag.
