Hit 50k monthly site visitors at my tiny agency last week
I run a small web design agency out of my basement in Akron and somehow we crossed 50,000 organic visitors to our site last month. I was just messing around checking analytics on a Tuesday and saw the number. It felt crazy because we only serve local businesses within like a 30 mile radius. The milestone matters because we never spent a dime on ads for our own site, just focused on writing really simple case studies for each project we finished. Has anyone else had a traffic jump that took them by surprise like this?

Not to rain on your parade or anything but 50,000 visitors for a local web design agency seems a bit much. Is that really from people who can actually hire you or is it mostly bots and random looky-loos? I've seen plenty of small sites get big traffic spikes from things like one viral blog post that has nothing to do with their actual business. Traffic numbers are great for the ego but they dont pay the bills unless those people are actually in your area and need your services. Just something to think about before you start celebrating too hard.
