Hit 50 recurring clients last month and it felt weirdly scary

I was always told you need a ton of clients to make good money, but hitting that 50 mark at my agency in Austin felt more like a warning than a win. Suddenly I had way more reports to run and check-ins to schedule, and my systems started cracking under the weight. Did anyone else hit a client count where you realized your whole process had to change?

Nah, 50 clients just means you need better systems, not fewer clients. Scaling up is uncomfortable but that's how you figure out what needs to change.

@riley58 but isn't 50 clients too many to give any of them real attention without burning out?

yeah i hit 50 clients last march and it forced me to finally get my crap together with scheduling and follow ups. had to fire a few people who were nightmares to deal with but honestly that cleared up so much time. i use a simple spreadsheet with color codes for priority levels and it saved my sanity. once you stop trying to remember everything and just write it down, 50 clients feels more like 25.
