Can we talk about the stat that 70% of agency new business comes from referrals?
I read a report from a small business group last fall that said 70% of new business for shops our size comes from referrals and existing contacts. I'd been spending $800 a month on cold email tools and got maybe two calls in six months. Meanwhile a guy I met at a chamber lunch in Dayton sent me three projects just from one intro. So I dropped the email software last week and put that money into taking past contacts to coffee instead. Has anyone else seen a number like that and changed up where their growth budget goes?
